Allergies
Well allergies are primarily caused by the human body over reaching to a substance called Allerge. If sensitive areas of the body such as the nose, lungs or skin come into contact with Allergen it causes the release of chemicals from the body.
Particles from cats and dogs, together with pollen and the house dust mite make up most common allergies.
The facts:
The dust mite is the common household culprit producing allergen. The house mite is a microscopic relative of spiders and ticks and is found in every home, no matter how clean. They thrive in warm conditions particulary in mattresses and bedding and feed on dead skin flakes which humans shed constantly.
Over the last few years, allergy to house dust mites has become increasingly common and this could well be linked with environmental factors within the house. It is thought that the introduction of central heating and double glazing into our homes has helped th emite to thrive.
